update mandrake software from mandrake software updater is not avalaible right now because mandrake have close their website only to subscribed member only can access it. now i am updating my mandrake using ximian red-carpet. nice and free. muach. love it much!!!

nginstal gnome desktop kemarin tidak sengaja hanya karena butuh program ssh yang running under gui eh malah di suruh install paket yang dibutuhkannya dan keluar lah gnome desktop (plus icewm)

now i know why netscape is competing with IE. netscape is best navigator i hv on mylinux box. but if there is a linux version of IE you know what i am going to use to explore the internet :))

i am installing kmysqladmin, mysqlclient for administering my sqlserver on other pc, installing apache for sharing my data (not only with samba but with http also to reduce virus infection via file sharing) also samba-swat to administer my sharing :)

want to install abiword as my wordprocessor but it require latest glibc.
download glibc and install it using standard prosedur (configure, make, make install) but failed. so abiword installation cancelled.
note right now for office I am not using ms office with wine but gnome-office and staroffice because their compability with msoffice files. I wonder why koffice didn't do the same thing rather have their own format

karena gnome mempunyai tampilan yang simple, bersih dan tampak kuat. dan di bawah bendera gnome desktop ada aplikasi aplikasi bagus (abiword, gnumeric, evolution, gtelnet, gnozip, gimp, mrproject, gnomba dan masih banyak lagi) mereka semua tersedia bagi gnome desktop walaupun di kde bisa di execute dengan catatan gnome libs nya tersedia. :)
tapi yang menonjol dari aplikasi2x gnome adalah kemiripin dan kekompabilitasan aplikasi tersebut dengan program2x yang ada di windows. wow!!!

after succesfully transferring my email and contact (but task failed) from outlook to evolution, I am using Linux Mandrake 9 for sure...

fonts I usually used for viewing the website is differs
when I am trying to print website from mozilla it's also print different fonts. (Using IE is the best experience for browsing)

i am wondering how to upgrade or install / reinstall latest kde and gnome
cause i want to use the latest window environment

for converting calendar, task and contact to evolution I am using outport. you can find it on sourceforge.net

You cannot import these files directly into Evolution because the .pst
format
is a proprietary format. However, Mozilla Mail on Windows can convert
them
into the mbox format, which can then be imported by Evolution.

Mozilla on Windows can access the .pst Outlook files because it can use
the
Windows MAPI.DLL library. Using MAPI.DLL is the only way to access .pst
files, and it can be used under a Windows operating system.

To start importing your Outlook mail to Evolution, run Mozilla Mail on
Windows and select the Importer to begin:

File > Import

Then select that you wish to import Mail from Outlook. Once Mozilla has
imported all your mail, reboot your computer into Linux.

Mount your Windows partition in Linux and run Evolution to begin
importing
your mail. Select the Importer from the File menu to start importing:

File > Import File...

Set the file type to "MBox (mbox)" and click on [Browse] to select the
file
containing mail you want to import.

If you are the only user on Windows, the mail files will be stored
in /mnt/c/windows/Application
Data/Mozilla/Profiles/default/XXXX/Mail/imported.mail/ where /mnt/c/ is
your
windows partition mount point and XXXX is some collection of numbers and

digits ending in .slt.

If there is more than one user, the file will be
in /mnt/c/windows/Profiles/USERNAME/XXXX/Mail/imported.mail/ where
USERNAME
is your Windows username.

For each mail folder in Outlook, Mozilla will convert the folder into
one
mbox file. To import all your mail, import all the files without a .msf
extension.
